Hi, I’m Sarah — an Educational Psychologist, long-distance runner, and devoted dog lover based in Somerset West. I work with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating emotional, behavioural, and learning challenges.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming: I see difference as something to understand and work with, not fix. I offer individualised therapy and comprehensive assessments to help young people better understand themselves, feel more confident, and access the support they need to thrive.
I offer therapy and assessments tailored to the needs of children, adolescents, and young adults.
My work is neurodiversity-affirming, person-centred, and informed by current research.
Therapy Individual therapy for children and teens experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, or behavioural concerns. Sessions are playful, respectful, and adapted to the child’s communication style and developmental stage.
Assessments All assessments begin with an intake session, followed by the assessment itself (typically over one or two sessions), and a feedback consultation with a detailed written report.

Psychoeducational Assessments
Understand learning profiles, cognitive strengths, and barriers to academic progress.

Concessions & Accommodations
Support applications for extra time, a scribe, reader, or other formal accommodations.

ADHD & Autism Diagnostic Assessments
Explore neurodevelopmental profiles using a respectful, best-practice approach.

Career & Subject Choice
Identify strengths, interests, and aptitudes to guide academic and career planning.

School Readiness
Evaluate a child’s preparedness for Grade 1 across cognitive, emotional, and motor domains.
As an Educational Psychologist, I support the whole child: how they think, feel, learn, and relate. My work isn’t just about academics; it’s about helping young people grow in confidence, manage challenges, and feel understood.
Every child is unique, so my approach is personalised. I offer therapy, assessments, and collaborative support with families, schools, and other professionals. I have a special interest in working with neurodivergent children, especially those with ADHD or autism.
Assessment is often a helpful starting point. It can highlight a child’s cognitive strengths, learning needs, and emotional landscape, offering insight into how best to support them at home and school. This may include identifying learning barriers, confirming diagnoses, or guiding applications for accommodations.
At the heart of my work is the belief that every child has the potential to thrive — and that with the right support, they can.
I’m a warm, approachable psychologist with a deep interest in neurodivergence and child development. I believe in celebrating individual differences and offering care that meets each child where they are.
Before training as a psychologist, I studied science at Wits University and completed research on animal behaviour. I found myself increasingly drawn to the psychological world, particularly the importance of helping children feel seen and supported. I went on to complete a Master’s in Educational Psychology through Stellenbosch University.
Today, I work across assessment and therapy, supporting young people from a wide range of backgrounds. My earlier work in teaching gives me a practical understanding of school systems and learning challenges, which I bring into all aspects of my practice. Outside of work, I’m a long-distance runner, and most of my best thinking happens on a trail or with a dog curled up nearby.
